We are pleased to announce our newest team member here at FFG. Last fall we hired Josh Dunlop as a Financial Planner. Josh has a very strong background in planning and we were really impressed that he spent time serving families in the National Guard. I don’t want to speak too much for him so below is a little more about him in his words.
Hello, my name is Josh Dunlop and it’s an honor to be here as part of the FFG team. A Colorado native, I grew up in Littleton and attended Metropolitan State University of Denver, where I earned my B.A. in History. After spending some time writing for a small newspaper in New York City, I moved back to my home state and set about realizing my dream of working in finance.
I spent eight years at Charles Schwab in a variety of different roles, and it was there that I fell in love with financial planning. This led me to achieve the Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2017, and the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ designation in 2021. After leaving the corporate world I spent 18 months as a contractor for the Colorado National Guard, coaching service members on financial matters.
I married my wife Kathryn in 2016 and we are living happily in Aurora. I enjoy reading, working out, traveling abroad (France is my favorite so far), and I still occasionally write. My true passion is financial planning and helping people feel confident in their future. I am happy to be at a firm that specializes in true financial planning, and I look forward to meeting all of you soon!
